Just Images!

Over a month back we went for a photoshoot. Just me and a few buddies from our car group. We're mainly car enthusiasts who owns a Toyota Vios. Rented the roof deck parking area of Park Square One at Makati. We even got the chance to snap some panning shots. It feels good having to drive around an empty parking lot at night. Hah! It sure was fun! Good times! Click link below for a few more photos.
Still awaiting some more pictures.

AI's Top 24 @ 9

I've always wanted to follow the hit TV series American Idol.  I don't get to watch this on TV - ya, that's how much our cable provider sucks! If only, I'd be following the show religiously as possible. Anyway, Mo Twister blogged about the the top 24 idols. He listed each one and provided each of 'em a video clip of their audition via YouTube. Thank you sir! Pretty amazing to watch each one go through the audition. Some from being tensed at the beginning then gets really excited when they finally get the answer they needed to get through the auditions and eventually be part of the final list of idols. So for you who doesn't know who they are here's a clip of the final 24. Looking through each of their audition I'd say this season's pretty exciting. Not to mention Ellen is onboard. She should be able to bring a new flavor to AI.

Top Priority

One night I found myself looking back at 2009 and the later part of my 2008. Man, what a waste it was. Well of course there are a few good times but most of it was just rubbish. Basically in almost all aspects of it. This is one part of my life where I just want to go back and do it all over again, if only I could! But anyway it's all over with and like what I always say to myself there's no other way but forward.

So moving on.

Prob'ly the only good thing about my twenty-O-9 was our trip to the U.S. to spend Christmas with my dad. Oh man how I wish for it not to end. Oh right haven't posted photos of it yet here, maybe in a few days. Anyway before we left for the States I posted an entry about a change in priorities. [click here for post] And right now it's just all about them. I should have known better all these years. If you know what your priorities are, everything else will just add up. If you give those people dear to you the highest importance, things will always go well. Well maybe not everything at all times but considering you know what or who your priorities are, the mere thought of having them is enough to keep you on your feet. Often times we get carried away by circumstances that takes us off our tracks. Most of the time that happens if you don't know what your priorities are, you easily get carried away. It fast tracks your life. Later you'll find yourself looking back and you'd be lucky if you don't find it crappy or empty.

How far can you go?

Came across this game in the internet. It is labeled the World's Hardest Game. Uhm, it kinda is. I can only do 10/30. Beyond that my reflexes can no longer comprehend. It's been up online for quite some time I guess. Actually I've been playing it awhile now but never have I been able to get through the 10th stage. My fingers and forearm is quite sore with merely pressing the arrow keys, those are the only controls you need. As simple as it may seem, it's not. Your objective is to move the red square from the starting and end points which is shaded green. Along the way there are some yellow circles. You need to get them first for you to complete the stage. It's fun, but apart from tired fingers, my patience can't match this one. Haha.

Click here to play the game. Do post as comment though how far you got.

Oh! And did I mention you need to dodge the blue circles? 1 hit equals 1 death. ;) Good luck!

Airnergy Anyone?

The idea of wireless charging has often crossed my mind when I find my laptop or cellphone running low on batteries and the part where I have to untangle the wires and move to a place closer to an outlet. And mind you these days with the wireless you'd rather want to be lying on the bed while surfing the net, ya? But when your laptop screams "Battery Low", you have no choice. Or so we thought.

RCA Airnergy, I believe this will be a very huge addition to the wireless realm. It's said to charge gadgets with nothing but WiFi signals. Not sure as to how it works but from how it looks is you plug it to your gadget (most-likely to where you plug your charger - obviously) and then it charges your gadget by harvesting from the area's available WiFi signal. And I don't think you need password access for it to begin harvesting WiFi signals - duh! As said in the video below, the good thing about this is that it uses free energy. Green is good.

Pyramiding Scheme

I never really thought there'd still be people doing this. Over a week back I was invited by a friend to a cup of coffee. Well how it happened was I received a text message from her one morning - just a simple hi. Not knowing what to say, since we barely exchange messages, I just said hello back and asked her what's up. Then she said "Everything is great!", knowing she had a "business" (or so I thought), it came to my mind 'wow business must've been good'. To cut this short I asked her if I can invest - joking of course, her response was an enthusiastic "Sure!". So the coffee invite.

Now the coffee invite was fine, what's not cool - and I personally hate - is the "hidden agenda" in which these people doing this kind of business. I mean, c'mon. And hey, need I mention why this is illegal? Well they call it Multi-Level Marketing, but is it not known to all that MLM's are doomed by design? I won't act like a smart-ass saying I knew these since birth, I for one invested in one before. The money is there yes, but with no effort in recruiting people to place on your left of right to match? You'd be lucky if you get your money back. Anyway, we all know how this works and we need not be deceived by the cover-ups that these people try to tell you like their products so and so. If you're in the brink of deciding weather to invest in this kind of business, do yourself a favor by reading this. It's quite a long read but if you're in doubt, you won't even scroll down you'll have a decision and need not finish it anyway.

The Apple iPad

I've heard about Apple coming up with a tablet but I never really thought they'd call it iPad - "pad". I don't know, for some reason it just doesn't sound right to my ears, or maybe it just sounds weird in my native tongue? It's like a mispronounced iPod. Anyway, first glance - wow! Sure looks nice and sleek. But is it really any good? Let's break it down shall we?

Specs:
  • 9.7-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit glossy widescreen Multi-Touch display
  • 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB flash drive
  • 1GHz Apple A4 chip
  • Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi 802.11n (3G units also available)
  • Up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music (Really now?)
9.7" display - wow! Ok. Over sized iPhone is that you? Looking at its specs online kinda had me thinking if this was like a much more portable (if you may) MacBook. Well if that is what's on your mind as well, it's not. For one, no USB port. Second, it can't multitask. Those two alone are reason enough why it just isn't. So what is it then? An over sized iPhone? Well, probably. but to be able to you 3G functions you have to get the one with WiFi + 3G features which is almost double the price of its entry level unit wherein you'll only have WiFi. Here's are its prices for you reference.

iPad WiFi 16GB: $499
iPad WiFi 32GB: $599
iPad WiFi 64GB: $699
iPad WiFi+3G 16GB: $629
iPad WiFi+3G 32GB: $729
iPad WiFi+3G 64GB: $829

$829 for a 64GB with WiFi + 3G, add a couple more hundred bucks and you can get yourself a MacBook. Should I get the Wifi + 3G option that goes with 16GB storage (It's only $629.)? Ok here's a question that will answer that question. What can you store in a 16GB gadget that's over sized and will cost you $629? Not much movies or mp3's as you most likely would want to - obviously. And it doesn't even have a USB port if say you have existing files that you straight-out just want to play in your iPad. I wonder though how this'll behave in terms of syncing it with your existing Apple gadgets, hmmm..

Right now, I'll just read up some more. These are just some out-of-the-box impression I have for the Apple iPad. Let's see how people will react to this new gadget. Though personally, with Apple's wide-range of followers, this'll be a sure hit. We'll see.
